Miss Easter is my 6 year old black silver tipped Poodle who I got on the last Sunday in March which my good friend,Linda York who just said was March 27th,2005.Miss Easter is a Toy Poodle weighing in at 12lbs. and to look at her she looks old.But my Groomer thinks she was a Puppy Mill Dog because she thinks she was a rare breed and just because she was blind didn't mean she wouldn't breed.?? Miss Easter gets her name from being flown up to me last Easter Sunday from Tampa Bay,Florida. It only cost me '175.00 on Delta Pet Air to have her flown from Tampa Bay,Florida to Pittsburgh,PA.to the Cargo Terminal. My Daughter and Granddaughters drove me up there to pick her up.When I leave the room and am gone for more than a minute she will hollar and scream, which the Vet calls it Seperation Anxiety.!! I have never had an animal that I love as much as I do her...Love Daddy..(Gary)

Amanda Jo

Little Amanda came to our life 18 years ago and was our bunk mate from day one. She helped many puppy mill rescued dachshunds adjust to life in a home throughout the years. She seemed to "teach" the mill rescues how to be a dog and how to trust humans for the first time. Rainbow bridge and her brothers and sisters welcomed Amanda to the Rainbow Bridge on March 19, 2009.

Amanda Jo has left a legacy to help other rescued dogs. Please see www.JBsLegacy.com for information as to how you can help. Check under Amanda's Gift.

Arnold

Arnold the pig was surrendered at the Humane Society in November, he was 3 months old.I could not find him a home because no one wanted to keep him inside and it was to cold to put him outside. And when Spring came we realized he likes it inside better than outside. He does go outside but he stays indoors more, he was a year old yesterday. So I have had him 9 months now. Here is a picture of him on his pretty pink bed. Arnold sleeps under a blanket by our bed at night,he is very much part of the family. He loves to be with us, he is in whatever room we are in.
Wendy.

Cosmo

Cosmo, the seven year old Beagle, German Shepherd and Basenji mix, is the spark of the group. He meshes well with the other dogs and enjoys social interaction. India welcomed him with open arms while Peaches was a little curious by nature

Happy

The chicken we named Happy because she seems so happy. My Vet gave her to me to keep my goose company. Something killed all his chickens except Happy. So we thought his one chicken and my one goose might enjoy each others company. My son built their indoor pen and my husband built their outdoor pen, both seem very happy.
Wendy.

India Ink

This is India Ink. The oldest of the Muttkateers. She is part Belgian Shephard and part Retreiver. She was adopted by the family in June of 1993 at the age of approximately 5 months. India was born a stray and lived on the streets for several months until she was rescued As a pup, India was very mischievous. She would often invade the garden, sampling many of the vegetables available. She also tends to startle members of the family when she sleeps in the bathtub, jumping out at the most vulnerable of moments. As a compliment to her personality, India was established as "Miss Congeniality" and "Most Likely to Distract others" by her peers in her obedience school.

Indy

The goose name is Indy because he just showed up here on Independence Day. We could not find his owner, so we decided to build him a pen, so no wild animals would decide to eat him. We live close to the woods. My son built their indoor pen and my husband built their outdoor pen.
Wendy.

Miss. Easter

Miss Easter around ten months ago started taking a few seizures so I took her to Dr. Carpenter and he put her on Phenabarbatol twice a day and she went over eight months seizures free. Then she started having them again and I took her back to Dr. Carpenter and he put her on the Phenabarbatoll three time a day and so far it is working. But when Miss Easter dies also she will be creamated and put in a urin and put in my casket and buried with me when I die.

Mr. Cuddles

We adopted Mr. Cuddles in March of 2001 from the Hancock County Humane Society in Hancock County West Virginia. As you see in his inmate picture he is a hairy little burger who smelled and could stand a good bath and combing out. The following week he had a haircut and his two pictures to the left vouches for that. Mr. Cuddles was taken two days later to the Veterinarian Dr. Babette Simms from Mannington Animal Hospital in Mannington West Virginia and brought up-to-date on his shots and later on sterilized and about two or three months later he was diagnosed with Pancreatis which he was put on a stricked low fat but high protein diet dog food which we had to buy it off of Dr. Simms and could not eat anything from the table or it might kill him.!!

Mr. Cuddles

We took Mr. Cuddles about four months ago to Dr. Carpenter after having to spells of just falling and not ralling for a minute or two.Dr. Carpenter ordered blood work, an ekg and when the reports came back they were not good at all. Mr. cuddles has a severe heart condition and was put on blood thinner. A few weeks ago Mr. Cuddles had two more spells of passing out in less than eight hours so again we made another appointment for him with Dr. Carpenter. Dr. Carpenter examined him and said he had chf ( congested heart failure ) and put him on lasix to keep the fluid away from his heart. Dr. Carpenter said that in the near future that Mr. Cuddles would take one of those spells and never rally from it.We love boy so much and he has been a joy in his Mommy's and my life that we are going to sure miss him when he gose to the rainbow bridge to be with our other two dogs, Groundhog and snowball. If anything happens to Mr. Cuddles he will be creamated and his urin will be put in his Mommy's caskit when she is buried

Peaches

Peaches is the second eldest of the dogs. She is a mix of hound, pitbull, and yellow labrador. Her nature, as a result of his breed, posed problems for her as a puppy. She was adopted and returned twice and was also abused by one of her former owners. At the age of 10 months, Peaches was discovered by the Shaw family and adopted.

Pharaoh

A lot of my life has been dedicated to children and animals. My word is my honor, as proven in my passion for nature, dance, and my horses. Pharaoh was bought by me in Northern California. He was nine months old, the man asked I give my word I keep Pharaoh all of his life and I gave my word to him as well as my horse. Pharaoh has lived in Ca. Oregon and now his final resting place here on the ranch with his stable mate Chile. Pharaoh has held my dreams in his heart, and had taken me on mountain rides, and now in the fields. He is 28 years old and that is a friend for long time. He always looked so much younger than his years, until two years ago ,he was diagnosed with Cushings Disease. He became very ill, the expenses were mounting and I could not afford the medicine he needs as well the grain other expenses. Karma, People have been kind and made donations for his medicine. Gary who designed my web page pays for his medicine and he has been a faithful friend to my horse in doing so. I still always have added expenses, with his Cushings and I always will met those expenses somehow. Love and compassion, keeping my word, doing the right thing, that is really a lesson that I have learned. In keeping my word to Pharaoh and the man who sold him to me many many years ago, I have kept my self worth and dignity. I know what it is to do without to keep my horse alive and with me. Love. I feel for anyone who has had a love one lost, for lack of funds or illness. For this reason I teach compassion and commitment, extending a helping hand, hard work, and dedication. It is about being a decent human being. My horse and I have lived through a lot together. His stable mate Chile is also a fine horse. What we give we recieve. I have learned this. Thank You. Pharaoh and Jill

Russel Tburger

My heart is breaking as I write this. RussellT is gone. Robin heard a very high pitched frightening howl that fateful morning...and when she found him he wasn't breathing. She rushed him to Gaithersburg Animal Hospital where they told her he was gone before she got him there - no doubt before she left the house.

Russell T came to us via Allbreed Rescue & Referral. He was a 'foster' dog. I argued with their coordinator about who and where he'd be neutered and finally told her "Forget it. He's my dog". And he was...my Mama's Boy. My sweet Russell Tburger...

Robin wrapped him in his quilt with a few of his precious ducks. They will make the journey with him.

India is in for a surprise.!!

Mama Jeanne

Rusty

This is Russel T or Rusty with Kevin Shaw. The family obtained Rusty at a dog park and took him in to become the fourth member of the crew. Rusty is part coonhound and possibly part beagle. He took on the black and tan color from his coonhound side.

______________________________________________________
Rusty was originally meant to be a foster dog. This meant he would be trained by one family and then sent to another family. There was a dispute over who would pay for Rusty's neutering. Jeanne Shaw said she would pay for the surgery and that Rusty was now her dog.

Yodels

Yodels my love, she had seen me through many storms in life. She was my service dog, my little girl, the love of my life. Her energy and dedication to me, her ability to read me, and I her. We were two hearts beating as one.
